Sampling well water accurately can be a difficult process to conduct accurately since purging can disturb the balance in the aquifer, bu the use of submerged pumps such as a
peristaltic pump By abstracting much smaller samples, there is less stress and hence movement of water in the acquifer. The quanity of water being measured at the surface will be less than that entering the acquifer. but with the use of techniques such as
Photobleaching
Description of the term: Photobleaching
The phenomenon of?photobleaching?(also commonly referred to as?fading) occurs when a fluorophore permanently loses the ability to fluoresce due to photon-induced chemical damage and covalent modification. Upon transition from an excited singlet state to the excited triplet state, fluorophores may interact with another molecule to produce irreversible covalent modifications.
